About GCC2017

The Galaxy Community Conference is the Galaxy project's annual community gathering. GCC2017 will be the 8th annual meeting. More than 200 participants have attended the conference every year since 2012.

Typical GCC attendees include:

Sponsorship levels

Conference sponsorships are available at various levels with a wide range of benefits. Each sponsorship package (except for Platinum) has an industry rate and a non-profit rate.

Premier sponsorships

Premier sponsorships include a speaking slot during the meeting—and are thus limited in number—which provides a unique opportunity to present a key message to all attendees.

Platinum Sponsorships

Platinum sponsorships are sold out.

Gold Sponsorships

Gold sponsorships are sold out.

Supporting Sponsorships

Supporting sponsorships are a more affordable way to reach GCC participants.  They don't offer a speaking slot, but they do include a number of ways to reach the Galxy community.  They also offer lower rates for non-proits.

Hack the Galaxy Sponsorships

GCC2017 will be preceded by two multi-day Hack the Galaxy gatherings where community and core team members collaborate to extend the Galaxy platform and ecosystem. We are also seeking sponsorships for the event. There are two sponsorship levels for the hackathons

Tera Sponsorship

Cost: €2500

  • Organization logo listed as a hackathon Tera level sponsor on hackathon home and sponsor pages, with link to URL of your choice
  • Organization logo listed as a hackathon Tera sponsor on printed material distributed to meeting participants.
  • A quarter page color ad in printed material
  • A guaranteed slot for sponsor organisation representatives in both hackathons (additional slots are possible, dependent on space)
  • Sponsorship of the hackathon dinner
  • Thanks and acknowledgements from organisers before and during the hackathon and dinner
  • Be the only Tera Sponsor

Giga Sponsorships

There is one Giga sponsorship remaining.
